Saul A.J. Burton

You know how lots of people say “believe me, trust me, I’m a guru, I know things” … well, I’m not a marketing guru.
I’m not a marketing specialist either.

My professional background is from Customer Care… I’ve managed a 600 operators strong call center for one of the main italian phone companies, and I’ve also worked for smaller companies helping them improve their relationship with customers.

And while I was studying Customer Care I discovered marketing. Yes, because Customer Care is one of the most effective marketing strategies anyone can learn… once you have customers you better make them happy, so they’ll buy again and again from you.
If instead you piss them off they’ll go around forums screwing your reputation (and they would have good reason to do that if you pissed them off! lol)

So I started learning more and more about marketing and I discovered a buch of stuff on human nature that no one told me when I was studying psycology at school… In fact, I now believe that marketers know more about the human nature than a lot of other people.

You’re probably wondering if I make a living with this website or not, since that would be a good measure to understand how good I am at marketing. Well, no – I don’t make a living with this website. And I don’t want to either. I make a living with an offline job and I’m happy with it, so I don’t need to make a living with this website.

HowToSell.info is my way to thank the people, the marketers, from which I’ve learned so much about human nature. And with this website I hope to teach you more about how to make money online. I do make money online, and if I needed to I could probably make a living doing just that… but I like my offline job, so it’s ok to market this website only part-time and make a little extra money to buy myself stuff for my hobbies: wrestling DVDs, marketing courses, computer games… the usual stuff ;)

So anything you find on this website isn’t there just to make me money. It’s there to help YOU make some more money… and depending on how much effort you put into this, you will be able to buy stuff for your hobbies (like I do) or even make a living from it.
But that does not depend on me, only on you: YOU MAKE AS MUCH MONEY AS THE EFFORT AND TIME YOU GIVE TO THIS BUSINESS.

Here’s a funny secret: making money online ain’t easy. Sure, it’s easier than starting an offline business, but that doens’t mean it’s easy!
It will take time, and hard work… “So what’s funny about that?” I hear you wonder…

The funny thing is that all the gurus will tell you it’s damn easy. All the sales letter will tell you “buy this and you’ll be rich”. All the advertising will say “get this and make a million dollars with no efforts”. Well, you know what? That’s all bullshit. Yep. Sorry to be so harsh, but I’ve been working online since 1998 and you know what? Nothing that I bought has ever made me any money without efforts – with one exception – the ClickBank Mall by Jeff Mulligan.

Any other thing I bought to make money online needed to be worked, and hard too. You need to generate traffic, you need to learn SEO, or how to work the PPC (pay-per-click) engines, which need money to be invested.
So you either work hard, or spend lots of money. Personally I’ve always preferred to work hard :)

So that’s something about me: I’m not a guru but I work hard and I know what works online and what doesn’t. I come from a customer care professional background so I know the meaning of respecting my customers.
On HowToSell.info you’ll find only useful info to sell information products online. Check the links on the sidebar, explore the website, find your way to increase your online profits in these pages. And if you only want ONE word of advice to make money online, that would be “Get a good hosting service”. That’s the foundation of a healthy online business.

It’s like getting a good building for your offline shop – you don’t want it to crumble on you, do you?
So get some real hosting service, pay it what’s it worth and don’t try to save on the most important aspect of your business: what’s the point of building a great website if people can’t see it because it went offline due to a bad hosting service??

I’ve been using the same hosting provider for the past 7 years and I love them. I tried others as well, but no one came even close to their quality of service.

That’s all – there isn’t much more to say about me… this website is about YOU and how YOU can make more money online. That is, by working hard and spending *wisely* your hard earned money.

I really hope that HowToSell.info will help you with your online venture, and when it does – let me know about it :)

Have a great time,
Saul A.J. Burton
